Ministry: Russia’s GDP falls 1.8% on year in Mar, 1.4% in Jan–Mar
MOSCOW, Apr 29 (PRIME) -- Russia’s gross domestic product (GDP) contracted 1.8% on the year in March and 1.4% in January–March, the Economic Development Ministry said in a monitoring report Friday.
Seasonally adjusted GDP fell 0.1% on the month in March after zero dynamics in February, the ministry said.
Russia’s foreign trade surplus decreased 52.7% on the year to U.S. $21.5 billion in January–March. Exports fell 34.2% to $59.3 billion, while imports decreased 15.3% to $37.8 billion.
